The valve replacement is a difficult and time consuming task because the pipes are close to one another.

To remove it, you will need to cut the pipe and reconnect the pipes with a bunch of other components and pipes.

But the torch alone, without other fittings and pipes, heat evenly all along the tubes, and the replacement / repair of the valve is easy without requiring changes to the original copper and its components.
